Peter Ruddy, born and raised in the City of Timmins, began NES in 1995, to offer a much needed recycling program for businesses in the Timmins area. The business has grown from a fleet of one rear packer truck and 3 employees, to a thriving business of 12 employees, front loaders and roll off trucks, and are able to provide a number of waste collection and recycling options for both residential and commercial customers.We are a member of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, we received the Nova Award in 2005 for Business of the Year Award, also were given the 1999 Supplier of the Year Award by Weyerhaeuser for excellence in recycling.NES is a proud corporate sponsor of the Timmins YMCA, Timmins Special Olympics, the Good Samaritan Inn , and the Timmins and South Porcupine Food Bank. NES is also a supporter of the Timmins Get Clean Program.

Recycling Services

Our 12,000 square foot material recycling facility is home to our baler, shredder and sorting line. We process cardboard, newsprint and paper, plastics, aluminum and tin. The material is separated and compacted or baled prior to shipping out for further processing. Recycling material is collected by our front loading trucks and containers throughout the City. We process virtually all commercial recycling in Timmins.

Waste Services

Our waste disposal services include both front loading and roll off containers. We service the business sector, contractors and residents of Timmins and area. Whether it's for construction, demolition, renovation or simply a home cleaning, we have various sizes of containers in both roll off and front loading for any project, big or small.

Confidential Document Destruction

NES offers confidential document destruction services to businesses, institutions and the public. Our customers include banks, insurance companies, law firms, accounting firms, government and health care facilities.Materials can be collected and/or brought directly to our material recycling facility.All material removed from offices will be shred on the day of removal and a written Certificate of Destruction is provided.Part of our services include the Pink Cart Campaign, which supports the Canadian Cancer Society.

End of Life Electronics

NES is an approved collection site, partnered with Ontario Electronic Stewardship, to provide safe recycling of electronic waste for both residents and businesses.NES accepts Industrial, Commercial and Institutional materials.Items can be collected at places of business, events, or can be dropped off at our facility at 740 Pine Street South.
