Since 2005, we’ve been leading the way to zero waste by providing full-service organics recycling in the Cowichan Valley with collection from businesses including restaurants, grocers, residential collection agencies and institutions.But we're not simply trying to keep waste out of the landfill and save people money, we're committed to preserving resources while creating local, sustainable jobs.

After all, we too are a community-based local small business.From the beginning, we’ve targeted only high-quality, contaminant-free organic waste.And like the fine establishments we work with, we take great pride in our service. All loads are delivered to our transfer facility, sorted and graded. Then all sorted organics go to facilities that are compliant with CRD, CVRD and Ministry of Environment regulations.In short, we see ourselves as a service company chasing commodities. We find homes for most waste products, and it's not the Landfill.Garbage transfer, organics composting and other recycling, serving Cobble Hill, Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay and Cowichan Bay.

Composting Facility

The biggest part of our operation here in Cobble Hill is composting.We have a state of the art covered processing facility that breaks down compostable waste and removes the odour through cedar chip filtering. Every table scrap, eggshell, baked good and piece of yard and garden waste will be entering a loop that transforms them into nutrient-rich compost to create new growth.

• Bio Medical Waste
• Drywall (installed pre 1990) (that is not tested for being asbestos free)
• Household Hazardous Products (liquids that are corrosive, flammable, explosive or poisonous ie. Ammonia, bleach, tub/tile cleaners, solvents, oven cleaners etc.)
• Gasoline/Diesel Fuel
• Mercury (Take to Bing's Creek CVRD Recycling)
• Pharmaceuticals
• Vermiculite (that is not tested for being asbestos free)
