We provide exceptional value, quality and protection to our customers. We are proud members of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and ensure that our data destruction process adheres to the NIST 800-88 guidelines. In order to minimize the social and environmental impacts of electronic waste recycling, we have become certified for R2, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001. Through a network of TSA-compliant logistics partners, we are able to remove IT-related equipment from any office, warehouse, or data center environment in the country.

Vision Statement

Provide world class IT asset management and recovery services through sustainable long-term customer relationships based on responsiveness, honesty, and integrity.

Our Mission and Services

To lead in supplying end-of-life IT asset management services centered around 5 key pillars:

  • Fully Compliant Data Security
  • R2 Certified Recycling
  • Refurbishment and Reuse
  • Transportation and Logistics
  • Environmental Metrics

Social Responsibility

We believe that it is the responsibility of every organization to devote a portion of their time and profit towards the betterment of society. As such, we have built and maintain a computer lab in Agua Prieta, Mexico in order to support the local educational system. In addition, we help fund a scholarship program for students to attend college worldwide and our employees regularly volunteer for home building projects in Mexico. In addition, we offer donation programs for our customers who prefer to give their retired assets to non-profits versus receiving monetary compensation. We are able to fully refurbished computers and monitors and deliver them to any organization in the country.

R2 Electronics Recycling

Reuse of electronic devices is always preferred to recycling. However, sometimes a device truly has reached the end of its life. In these cases, there are valuable components to recover and use again as raw materials for new manufacturing. This extends the use of nonrenewable resources, decreases the amount of energy needed for manufacturing, and protects ecosystems from the pollution released during the mining process.

Our zero landfill policy dictates that we reuse or recycle every solid material that comes into our facility. This policy extends from circuit boards to cardboard. We are committed to environmental stewardship and the guidelines set forth by the R2 certification program.

Value Recovery

Constant advances in technology render devices obsolete within a few short years. Quick action is required to capture the remaining value of retired technology assets. Remarketing used equipment maximizes ROI while minimizing environmental impact. At DMD, we have well-developed, worldwide sales channels for IT equipment, ranging from computers to high-end data center equipment. DMD only directs equipment to fully vetted buyers with established specialties and responsible supply chains.

Since 1994, DMD has built a database of hundreds of customers, which means we can find the right customer for your equipment. When assessing the resale potential of an asset, we consider the age, specification, functionality, and cosmetic appearance of the asset, in accordance with the disposition preferences of our clients.

We have a variety of asset recovery options to meet the needs of our customers; from resale and refurbishment to certified destruction. Our project managers work with our customers to ensure the best solution for their organizations’ objectives, finding the perfect balance of risk elimination while maximizing the value of their IT assets.

Environmental Reporting

Electronic devices require a significant amount of energy to produce. The energy used in a product’s manufacturing phase is known as its embodied energy. Electronic equipmentpresents a new trend in product lifecycles in which more than half of the energy used in the overall lifespan occurs during manufacturing. With such high energy intensity before the product even comes to market, the most practical method for improving energy efficiency is by extending the product lifespan.

DMD has partnered with academic and government organizations to research the environmental impacts of e-waste disposal. We are in the process of piloting a carbon emissions savings calculator that will quantify the emissions avoided by reusing electronic equipment. The goal of this project is to provide responsible organizations with carbon offset credits for responsible IT asset disposal. These credits can be used in a sustainability or corporate social responsibility (CSR) report to showcase an organization’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint
