PROCAS was originally established in 2007 as a joint-stock company, and currently operates as a limited liability company. Its core program is the recycling of cable waste based on copper or aluminum classified as non-hazardous waste. The technology of cable waste processing is built in its own production facilities in the village of Svinná in the district of Trenčín and uses the most modern method of separating non-ferrous metals from plastics.

The method of processing waste cables is performed by mechanical grinding and granulation. Metals and other components are separated on the basis of fluid separation. This technology does not endanger the air, water resources or soil and thus does not create an environmental burden on the environment in which it operates. The share of recycled components is around 95%. The technology consists of a production line, which is controlled automatically, its control electronics continuously ensure the smooth operation of the line itself, permanent safety of the operator at work and reduces the share of strenuous physical work. Separate storage, service and handling areas are also built for the input material and the final production of granular metals. The plant is technologically ready to process cable waste containing copper or aluminum up to a cable diameter of 60 mm with a capacity of approximately 1,000 tons of waste cables per year.

The PROCAS operation has an approved EIA - Environmental Impact Assessment according to Act No. 24/2006 Coll. on Environmental Impact Assessment and on Amendments to Certain Acts. This document is considered to be one of the main instruments of international environmental policy for the implementation of sustainable development. The company is currently in the process of implementing the systems EN ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 148001: 20
