Since 1937, Montague's Jewelers carries a tradition of excellence in both quality and service to its customers.

In 1937, W.J. “Wally” Montague purchased the Fortney Pease Jewelry store located at 2817 2nd Avenue North in downtown Billings. Wally served the community for many years with integrity and a reputation for quality jewelry and personal service.

In 1963, Wally’s son Jay joined the business after graduating from college. At that time, a second store was established at West Park Plaza. In 1971, Jay and his wife Lynne became the owners of Montague’s, continuing the family tradition of earning their customer’s trust and confidence through outstanding service and quality.

In March 2003, Jay and Lynne's oldest son, Chris (now owner), joined Montague's Jewelers as Vice President. Chris represents a third generation of the Montague family to carry the tradition of excellence to our customers and community involvement for years to come.

Custom Design

Montague’s Jewelers has been designing rings and jewelry since 1937. From unique wedding sets to bracelets, rings and pendants. Montague’s has been a creative jewelry force in Montana. Montague’s also designs one-of-a-kind items from our stores, Some of our original designs include the Montana State pendant and charm, solitaire bracelet and wave rings all of which are customer favorites. Along with Montague’s expertise, we rely on their exclusive goldsmith, Jack Gohn, and award winning goldsmith and designer, to cast and finish each created piece of jewelry. Montague’s Jewelers is proud of its design capability and takes great care to provide the customer with exactly what they want–a uniquely crafter and beautiful jewelry piece that will stand the test of time. Beautiful and unique pieces do take time. Please allow at least three weeks from concept to finished product.

Jewelry and Watch Repair

Montague’s Jewelers can repair most any jewelry item, watch or clock. Montague’s has a full service goldsmith off premises that can take care of most jewelry repair needs. Typical time needed for repairs can be one to three weeks depending on time of year and what needs to be repaired.
We also provide full watch servicing for most watches.

Watch Battery Replacement

Montague’s Jewelers can replace watch batteries in almost any watch. We have a huge array of watch batteries and can usually complete the battery replacement while you wait, or if busy, can complete the replacement the same day.

Jewelry Cleaning and Assessment

Montague’s Jewelers are happy to provide you with free jewelry cleaning and a review of your jewelry to make sure your stones are securely set and that the piece is not in jeopardy.
