If one of your goals is to clean out your garage, basement, house, office, or the junk-filled property you just purchased or are trying to sell, Nick DeGiulio and Corey Heidkamp of Junk Remedy might be the answer.No job is too large or too small for the old friends who went into business together in late 2009. After graduating from Barrington High School in 1999, DeGiulio attended college at the University of Montana and gained 9 years of experience in the junk removal business in Chicago and Denver. After graduating from St. Viator in 2000 and attending Kansas University, Heidkamp became a PGA apprentice and began his networking while out on the golf courses of Chicagoland. When the childhood friends met up again in 2009, they decided to put their experience and skills together to form a junk removal company, with DeGiulio handling the day-to-day operations and Heidkamp building up the clientele.

Operating out of Lake Zurich, they employ a small, reliable team that covers a 50-mile radius of Chicago. Junk Remedy is licensed, bonded, and insured, gives free estimates, and handles all loading, labor, cleanup and disposal fees. DeGiulio and Heidkamp also bring an environmental and social consciousness to their business - always considering recycling or donating before the dump - with continuous contributions to organizations such as W.I.N.G.S., Helping Our Heroes, Merryville Children's Academy, House of Hope, and more. They are proud to be not only a business, but active participants in the community, donating their time and efforts to such causes as American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Arlington Height's Salute 5K Run, the Girl Scouts, and local high school booster clubs.

Recycle Pledge

So you want to get rid of that old dresser – but it’s still in pretty good shape? There’s that old television that you don’t want anymore – but you don’t know how to safely dispose of it? Junk Remedy is proud to recycle and donate as much as we can from every job we do, throwing away as little as possible. We always follow proper protocol when it comes to donating and recycling your materials. Items are carefully and responsibly sorted to determine the best place to bring them for disposal, recycling, or repurposing. In the event that items are deemed reusable, our friendly, uniformed staff has the proper skills to remove these items safely, and the client will receive a donation tax receipt.

Junk Remedy has many partnerships with local non-profit organizations and recycling facilities, and the items will be taken to the proper place to be recycled or repurposed. Junk Remedy is also happy to consider specific requests from clients regarding where their items will be donated. A constant priority is to avoid landfills, and instead, contribute to our local community via recycling or donating. Junk Remedy’s donations has surpassed $1 million dollars of re-purposed goods since we have opened our doors in 2009. Junk Remedy’s concern for the community and environment is a top priority when it comes to bringing you the “remedy” for all your junk and trash removal needs.
