Doris McLendon’s passion for jewelry began at a large jewelry store in 1985, while on summer break from her teaching career in Jackson, Mississippi. That summer was all that it took for her to fall in love with the business. From that point forward she loved surrounding herself with beautiful jewelry and making people happy.

As she built strong relationships with customers she began thinking and aspiring to open her own high end jewelry store. In the fall of 1992, Doris’ dreams became a reality when Doris McLendon’s Fine Jewelry opened in Memphis. Doris wanted to give her customers a local place to shop where they could find beautiful quality pieces and a personable staff to help them. In 2002 Doris moved her business to the Germantown area where she continues to serve her Memphis customers and now Germantown and Collierville residents. Doris McLendon’s Fine Jewelry is known for showcasing unique one of a kind pieces as well as featuring stunning colored stones in all types of settings.

Doris travels to jewelry markets in New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Hong Kong, Thailand and Switzerland. Doris McLendon’s Fine Jewelry also features a separate diamond room where customers can choose the perfect diamond and setting to fit their needs. Her reputation of honesty and integrity has created long time customers and has allowed her business to thrive for over 25 years.
