Our company began in 2010 with Capitol Waste & Recycling Services, formed by waste management executives, Rob Smith and Wendell Shelton. Drawing from decades of experience, their vision was to found a business on the principles of quality service, excellence in delivery and treating stakeholders with respect. Within a few short years, the company organically grew to become a major player in Central Ohio’s waste industry.

In order to minimize our impact on the environment, we expanded reuse and recycling capabilities by acquiring Lancaster Metals in 2013. Regional growth and service offerings were bolstered again in 2017 with the purchase of On Demand Container in Cincinnati, OH and Iron City Express in Pittsburgh, PA. Together, the companies provide complete services from strategic consulting for efficient project design to collection, hauling, recycling and disposal.

Our entrance into the oil and gas industry began in 2016 with the acquisition of Buckeye Water Service. Vertical integration was achieved when we brought in Mud Masters in early 2018. The sister companies work hand in hand to provide shared customers with hauling and processing capabilities for phase of drilling projects.
