B&K Auto Salvage and Recycling

B&K Auto Salvage was started in 1973 by Bill and Ken Goss, which is why it's called B and K. At that time, B&K offered u-pull-it used parts and auto salvage services. In 2003, one of their employees, Jake Hanson purchased the business with his father, Delmer. Jake had worked at the yard through high school years and saw the opportunity to continue doing what he loved - working on cars and helping customers and at the same time continue to provide quality local employment with a local benifit and impact.

In 2013, B&K expanded to offer scrap metal and non-ferrous recycling to Eastern Oregon. The company was able to leverage it's existing partnerships with larger companies that process both Auto Salvage and Metal Recycling so B&K could offer the full range of metal recycling services to both residential and commercial customers. In 2016, B&K expanded from the La Grande location and added a Baker City location that also provides the full range of scrap recycling services to Baker County residents.

B&K currently employs 22 people and provides nationwide used parts sales from our inventory of over 1000 vehicles and nearly 150,000 parts.

At our La Grande location, we provide full u-pull-it services with access to our complete used parts inventory, and occasionally sell used vehicles that we purchase from dealerships.

At both La Grande and Baker City locations, we purchase used vehicles (complete or stripped, with title only) and offer the complete range of scrap metal and non-ferrous recycling to residential and commercial customers. This includes pickup and delivery of scrap metal bins for recycling (please conctact us for limitations), as well as local drop off and payment for your scrap metal or non-ferrous materials.
