Recology CleanScapes began operations in October 1997 (as CleanScapes) providing exterior cleaning and maintenance for Seattle's Historic Pioneer Square District. In October 2011, CleanScapes merged with San Francisco-based and employee-owned Recology in order to enhance our waste zero capacity. Recology is a 90-year old company, a pioneer in waste reduction and recovery, and one of the largest operators of material recovery and organics processing facilitates in the western United States.

BEYOND WASTE Services

Recology CleanScapes offers consultation and waste audits to help businesses and organizations save money and conserve resources. Because recycling service costs significantly less than garbage collection, most businesses and organizations save money by wasting less and recycling more. Customers save even more by separating food and yard waste or by reducing waste altogether.

E-Waste

Electronic waste, or E-Waste, includes computers, monitors, and televisions. These products contain toxic chemicals that, if not disposed of correctly, cause environmental contamination and serious health impacts.

Roll Off Containers

CleanScapes provides tailored services and various size containers for your projects. We provide exceptional service for your large and small construction projects, interior and exterior remodels, demolition sites, landclearing, and special event. Let us make it easy for you. We'll provide a container and haul it to our recycling center.

Free Special Item Recycling (outside cart)

Recology CleanScapes also offers a curbside Special Item Recycling program for items that that are not accepted inside your recycling container and are hard to properly dispose of otherwise. Special Recycling Items include: small electronics & appliances, Styrofoam™ blocks, compact fluorescent light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, infant car seats, small camping propane canistershousehold batteries, clean wood, Nalgene bottles, PVC pipe, used cooking oil and used motor oil. The items listed below are not allowed in the garbage; as they are not accepted in the King County landfill system.
