Plastics Recycling

• PP is a universally used commodity material. It has significant staying power, both as a resin and in the market, as well as stiffness and durability.
• PET recycling has been developed using the clear plastic water bottles, or PET as the raw material, a source of plastic that would otherwise go into landfills.
• PE is a widely used commodity material in molding operations. Its versatility and process-ability are attractive in producing many things from bags to boat docks.

Felplast is a post-industrial plastics recycling business operating in Dalton, Ga. Felplast, Inc. was originally founded in Italy in 1970. After succeeding in the plastics recycling industry for over three decades, Felplast U.S.A. was formed. CEO Andrea Ori decided to create an American operation after reading about the vast amount of plastic waste produced in the U.S., specifically the carpet and flooring industry. The goal was simple – help reduce and reutilize the billions of pounds of plastic materials dumped into landfills annually while also creating jobs.

• In addition to suppliers and customers throughout the United States, the company’s years of international business experience has opened doors to a global marketplace. Felplast has direct and indirect customers in nearly every continent and multiple countries, including Mexico, Italy, Romania, China and Vietnam to name a few.
• In its over 10 years of existence, Felplast USA has grown from an idea in Italy to an office in a suburban Atlanta and three facilities stretching from Northwest Georgia to Southwest Pennsylvania.
• Felplast utilizes a wide array of business relationships; not only do long-running relationships and contracts with industry leading manufacturers exist, but also temporary relationships with smaller companies for individual projects.
