Recycling

Recycling is a simple way for everyone to help out their communities and the environment. You can help preserve natural resources from being depleted by supporting the recycled goods market.Today, we see the internationally-recognized symbol for recycling (three arrows moving in a triangle) on more products than ever before. The arrows each represent a different part of the recycling process-collection, remanufacture, and resale.Check for the recycling symbol before you throw an item away. It's an easy way to reduce your household waste amounts and do something good for the Earth and our future.

Commercial Recycling

Waste Connections of Colorado, Denver offers Commercial Recycling in addition to regular trash service. Many businesses and offices produce large amounts of trash that can be recycled. Scrap paper, old reports or file folders, catalogs, mail, phone books, empty cardboard boxes, certain packing materials, and even pop cans can all be collected in your office and saved for recycling.

Residential Trash

If you have extra garbage or large items that will not fit in the container, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your pick-up day. Items or bags placed next to the container will not be picked up without prior arrangement. Extra charges may apply.

Yard Waste

Yard waste can be included in your regular trash bags/containers, which will be collected as trash on your normally-scheduled trash pick-up day. Some yard waste can be accepted as compost. Please contact customer service to see if composting is available in your area.

For yard waste that will not fit in the container, we ask that it be bagged and placed beside the container. If you have longer sticks/branches/limbs, we ask that you fashion the items into bundles that are no more than four feet long and no more than 40 pounds each. There are extra charges that may apply per bag and per bundle, so please contact customer service for pricing and/or to schedule service.

ELECTRONICS

While we do pick up most electronic devices (additional charges apply-please call customer service), we ask that you consider recycling them first.Electronic waste, more than ever, is a significant environmental concern. Plus, if you are a residential Recyclebank member, you can earn points for electronics. Additionally, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) website lists resources for donating or recycling your unwanted electronics. Donate and you may be eligable to receive a tax write-off!
