CHITTY Garbage Service Inc has been locally owned & operated since 1973.We'll take care of all your trash collection needs from Residential, Commercial and Demolition services. We are proud to serve Ames, Boone, Gilbert, Huxley, Kelley, Maxwell, Nevada, Slater and Story City communities. We also serve the rural areas of the above communities and also Cambridge, Collins, Colo and Roland rural areas too.

CHITTY Recycling - Single Stream Recycling

It's easy to do Single Stream Recycling! Simply toss the accepted recycling items into your recycling cart (gray cart with green lid) and set it out to the curb the night before of your recycling collection day (see collection calendar). Please set your cart out correctly (cart placement) for fast and safely dumping the recycling cart.There is a sticker on top of your Recycling Cart listing the acceptable and unacceptable items. You can print a copy of our CHITTY Recycling Single Stream Recycling Guide that's the same on top of the cart.All Single Stream Recyclables are collected and taken to Greenstar of Des Moines IA where it is mechanically processed and people sort and sell for reuse (plastic for plastic, paper for paper, tin for tin, etc.).

Unacceptable Items:

• Garbage, Yard Waste, Containers that previously contained hazardous materials (such as motor oil or paint)

• Paper contaminated with food

• Lids from glass jars

• Aluminum foil

• Plastic bags

• Styrofoam

• Paper towels, tissues, napkins, toilet paper

• Electronics or anything not listed in the above 'acceptable item list' - WHEN IN DOUBT - TOSS IT!

DEMOLITION CONTAINER SERVICE

We offer Rear Dump Containers 2Y, 3Y, 4Y & 6Y and Roll Off Containers 10Y, 16Y, 20Y, 30Y & 40Y used for new construction, remodeling, roofing or cleaning out the garage, basement and attics.

CHITTY Garbage Service Inc is not responsible for any ground damage (sidewalks, driveways, curbs, ect.) or damage to bushes, landscaping, tree branches over hanging etc. when we deliver or pick up containers or roll offs.Customers are responsible for damage to or from 96g carts, rear dump containers or roll offs while renting from CHITTY Garbage Service Inc. This excludes normal wear & tear. If the customer owns the 96tg cart, rear dump container or roll off; they are responsible for all damages including wear & tear.
