For most residents of Cincinnati, OH Earth Day comes once a year. On a little patch of land on Longworth Street, every day is Earth Day. That patch of land belongs to David Hirschberg Co, Cincinnati's premiere steel and metal recycling center. For over 100 years, we've taken metal like steel, aluminum, brass and copper off peoples' hands, and exchanged it for metal of a different sort: 
money in the pocket! We also sell new and used steel and other metals in various forms. Call for current inventory.

A heritage of helping 

The David Hirschberg Company was established in 1913, when steel and scrap metals were transported by horse-drawn buggy. Founded by brothers David & Lester Hirschberg, the company remained a family business until Irvin, son of David Hirschberg passed in 2009. The company was transferred to long time business partners of the family, James Rolman & Jon Graham and with the passing of James Rolman now belongs to Jon Graham.The company originally operated as a retailer and recycler of iron, scrap, paper products, and rubber. To accommodate the changing needs of the industry, The David Hirschberg Company in addition to being one of the top Metal Recycling centers in Cincinnati has become a leading steel service center and provider of industrial surplus.The David Hirschberg Company operates its own fleet of trucks, available for pick up or delivery of materials.We pride ourselves on supplying quality materials and outstanding customer service, proven by our 100+ years of continued success.

Rolling with the changes

The only permanent thing in life, and business, is change. To accommodate the changing needs of the construction and manufacturing industries, David Hirschberg Co has change over the years to include structural steel fabrication and surplus sales. David Hirschberg Steel has gone from recycling metals using horse drawn methods to a large recycling center.

Stop In or Pick-Up & Delivery Services

David Hirschberg Co is all about making metal recycling convenient for our customers. You are welcome to bring your own recyclables to our plant at 211 Longworth Street. We also have our own fleet of trucks that can pick up your materials from your job site. We don't care how you get it to us, just that you let us give you top dollar for it!

STEEL SERVICE CENTER

The steel service center offers a large variety of structural steel materials, fabrication services, and hard-to-find materials such as alloys and odd sizes. We specialize in same day-next day service. No order is too big or too small, and you are always welcome to stop by to purchase materials.

METAL RECYCLING CENTER

Our recycling facility provides industrial containers serviced by our trucks. Customers are welcome to bring recyclables to our location. 

INDUSTRIAL SURPLUS

David Hirschberg Co buys used machinery and electrical surplus. We then resell them on eBay or you can buy our surplus products here. You make money, someone else saves money. It's a win-win situation!
