Hiltz Waste Disposal and Recycling is a family owned and operated business with over forty years and three generations of proven industry experience.Located on Cape Ann in historic Gloucester Massachusetts, we provide outstanding service to the surrounding communities in Eastern Massachusetts as well as southern New Hampshire. Our six-acre complex includes an office building, the Essex County Recycle Center, and our maintenance facility.

HWD also owns and operates the Essex County Recycling Center. Residential Drop-off

We accept all curbside Recycling materials for free at our recycling center. This includes all metal, paper, cardboard, plastic, tin and glass products.

Construction/Wood Drop-off - We accept all construction/demolition/wood debris for a fee of $150 per ton. Customers weigh in on our certified truck scale and pay the fee based on the actual weight on the load. There is a minimum fee per load of $45. These rates are subject to change.

Waste Ban Items - We accept most Massachusetts Waste Ban items for a fee. Acceptable materials include wood/construction debris, appliances, televisions, computer monitors, yard waste, e-waste, tires and light bulbs just to name a few.
