Universal Welding & Engineering is a metal plate fabricator serving heavy industry in the Midwest, including: OEM machinery, foundry, metal recycling, environmental, investment casting, mining, hydraulic and material handling.  We have 80,000# lift capacity and fabricate and weld structural steel and medium to heavy plate, primarily ¼” to 4” thick mild steel, providing weldments and fabrications to customer specifications in a range of material grades, including: A36, A572, A514, A633, AR400, AR500, Manganese, stainless steel, aluminum and inconnel.

Since its founding in 1970 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Universal Welding has served heavy industry as a reliable source for fabricating durable, heavy duty equipment.  We started out building custom containers for the foundry and metal scrap recycling industries in the Milwaukee area and southeastern Wisconsin.  We then added customers in the machine tool, mining and other heavy OEM industries.  Today Universal Welding continues to build on its strengths by providing our customers with high quality fabrications, delivered on time at competitive pricing.

We have extensive experience providing foundry customers with custom fabrications, foundry equipment replacement parts, and custom material handling solutions, including the capability to develop, design, fabricate and install equipment.  We manufacture a range of foundry equipment including: tight flask, bottom board, mold car, ladle shell, large furnace lining form, scalping drum, rotary screen, bulk bag stand and magnetic separator.

Universal Welding serves metal recyclers with a variety of material handling equipment, including: sealed lugger box, rolloff rollers and shafts, tote boxes, heavy duty container, scrap box cover, large custom fabricated steel hopper, shear head, and complete equipment rebuild.
