The owner, James T. Pitard Jr., more affectionately known as 'Toddy', began working for Murphy's Jewelers in high school. He ran errands, took out the trash, and cleaned glass. Upon high school graduation, Toddy attended Trenton Jewelry School and became a Certified Bench Jeweler. He worked alongside Bruce Seller and quickly became one of the most skilled craftsmen in this area. Through many years of hard work and dedicated service, Toddy was offered a partnership in the business, which was owned by Jerome Murphy Jr., affectionately known as Jay, who inherited the business from his father, the originator of Murphy's Jewelers in South Arkansas. Upon Jay's retirement Toddy, and his wife Amanda, purchased the business outright. Since that time, the Pitards have continued Jay's legacy of quality, integrity, and service but have made many changes that have resulted in tremendous growth for the business. And, the best is yet to come
