For owner and expert bench jeweler, Justin Hodges, jewelry is a family business. His great-grandfather was a watch maker and store owner in White Pigeon, Michigan between 1930's and 1970's. His father was a dental technician, which utilizes many of the same techniques a goldsmith uses. As a child he and his brother grew up experimenting with these tools and creating pieces of jewelry. After high school, Justin attended school in Illinois to study goldsmithing. Upon gradutation, he worked for several big jewelry businesses before opening Hodges Jewelers in 2007 with his father and brother.

Since then, his business partners have moved on from the business and Justin has brought two more jewlery lovers to Hodges Jewelers. Colleen is a 15 year veteran of the jewelry industry and Jamie a designer whom he is training to be a bench jewler also.
