We provide crushing and screening services of all types of mineral ores.Montrose Mining was established by the joining of MLH (QLD) Pty Ltd and Capricorn Coast Travel Pty Ltd in 2008, when both parties saw the demand in Central Queensland for Mobile Crushing and Screening Plants, sometimes in very rural and remote areas.Mining companies required reject coal to be rescreened to enable the product to be sellable, large piles of waste and rubbish concrete also needed to be sorted and crushed for environmental reason. In 2010 Montrose Mining acquired the lease for Dingo Quarry which now produces road base and stemming products to supply Local councils and mines in the area. In the last two years expansion and growth has been enormous, with three full mobile plants working at one time in areas as far north as Collinsville to Lowmead in the south. In today's demanding environment, with short lead times and marginal profits, Montrose Mining recognises the need to provide modern, efficient, environmentally friendly and most importantly, safe equipment to all our employees and customers. After all poor performance of contractors in any of these areas has a direct impact on your effectiveness and profits. Our ability to provide a quality and professional service, safely, is reflected by the high proportion of new client referrals, frequent commendations and return service requirements from our clients. Our ultimate goal is to establish with our clients a highly flexible, mutually beneficial relationship committed to ethical and sound business practice. This will ensure that both our clients and Montrose Mining will meet their desired goals, whilst establishing a perpetually developing business relationship.Environmental Management:Montrose Mining has developed an Environmental Management System which will incorporate a commitment to being a good neighbour and to prevent or minimize pollution in the daily operation of our screening plant.Risk Management:Risk Management is attained through detailed site visits, site audits and discussions relating to each project. By following established detailed risk analysis and risk management systems to ensure all elements of risk have been identified and addressed.Training:To ensure that our personnel are trained in the safe operation of equipment, equipment inspections and testing, Montrose Mining has implemented a comprehensive in-house evaluation, safety, inspection and training. Every employee holds their appropriate current certificates and licences.Dingo Quarry is situated in the small country town of Dingo, Central Queensland approximately 150 kilometres west of Rockhampton. The quarry is accessed by a good quality sealed road from the turn-off on the Capricorn Highway which ensures there are no delays or issues with wet weather road conditions. The quarry excavation is located on Namoi Road, Dingo, which has frontage to both Namoi Road and Capricorn Highway.Local government is the Central Highlands Regional Council who is also a very big supporter of the business. Quarry encompasses 29.45 hectares of land with approximately another eight hectares for future development. Montrose Mining acquired the lease for the Dingo quarry in 2010 and is current for 5 years and has a very good relationship with the land owner who is also our neighbour. The dominant rock type identified at the site is olivine basalt. The source material group for this rock type is basic igneous. Test results have indicated that the olivine basalt source rock is suitable for the production of a range of crushed rock products eminently capable of meeting or exceeding specification requirements.Quarry resource volumes at the Dingo Quarry are potentially very significant based on assumptions from the existing exposures and the site geology. As at July 2011 these assumptions would suggest that in excess of 2 million tonnes of weathered olivine basalt is available for extraction by advancing the single bench working faces to the south, east and west and deepening the existing pit floors as required. There is substantial space within the developed area where a level hardstand area has been prepared and provides for stockpiling of the quarry products.
