EMUP Spetsavtobaza

The history of EMUP 'Spetsavtobaza' began in 1892. Then the Yekaterinburg sanitary executive commission for taking measures against the introduction and spread of the cholera epidemic decided to create a city horse cart for garbage and sewage removal. An organized service was engaged in the collection of waste on the streets of the city and their subsequent removal to landfills.

Today, EMUP Spetsavtobaza is a regional operator for municipal solid waste management on the territory of the Eastern Administrative and Production Association of the Sverdlovsk Region, which includes the city of Yekaterinburg and 33 municipalities.
