At Cardiff Council, we avoid landfill and turn your waste into a resource. Food waste is processed to become compost and fertiliser and recycling is sorted at our state of the art Materials Recycling Facility. Any remaining non-recyclables are taken to the Energy Recovery Facility in Splott which burns waste in order to generate energy for homes in Cardiff. Further details can be found here

We also operate a dedicated Commercial Waste Recycling Centre at Bessemer Close (CF11 8XH) where businesses can dispose of their waste responsibly at very competitive rates.
