Kampag closes the cycle of road building materials in an environmentally friendly way

The renewal of asphalt roads in Switzerland generates around two million tonnes of reclaimed asphalt every year. A quarter of this is reused as asphalt granulate in the production of hot mix. Another quarter finds its way into the material cycle in another form, for example as a substitute for gravel sand. But a million tons are left for environmentally friendly disposal. This is exactly where cold processing opens up

new possibilities in a changed environment.

The production company KAMPAG operates the most modern, computer-controlled, mobile processing plant for cold mixes. Up to 100% of the asphalt can be reused using cold processing. Experience from abroad and initial assignments in Switzerland have shown consistently positive results. Cold processing does not replace hot processing, but it offers technically feasible, economically optimized and ecologically sensible solutions. The cycle is closed.
