Car Recycling Zimmermann GmbH was founded in 1952 by Lilly and Alfred Zimmermann-Schoch at Rest. Hirschen in Reichenburg.

In 1972 the car recycling was relocated to the industrial area.

Alfred Zimmermann-Waldvogel has been running the business since 1981.

In 2005 the company was converted into a limited liability company (GmbH).

The company is continuously modernized and kept up to date with the latest technology. From 2002, computer-controlled shelving systems were put into operation in various stages in order to efficiently manage small parts.

In 2006, a fully automatic high-bay warehouse for large parts such as engines, transmissions, various body parts and others was introduced.

A 24-hour towing service has been part of the car recycling department since it was founded.
