Established in 2013 by Explosives Engineer Andy Carson, A Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying and a Member of the Institute of Explosives Engineers with 25 years experience in the Welsh Slate Industry. North Wales Slate and Stone Ltd aquired the Llechwedd Slate Quarries in Blaenau Ffestiniog North Wales in October 2014 in partnership with D.W.J Welding and Fabrication Ltd and established Northern Welsh Quarries Ltd. D.W.J welding and fabrication Ltd is Run by Director Dewi Jones who has vast knowledge and experience in the mechanical engineering side of the business. We specialise in our very own Welsh Slate from the Llechwedd Welsh Slate Quarry as well as Anglesey Limestone, Merionyddshire Granite and top quality Yorkstone.

The aim of North Wales Slate and Stone Ltd and Northern Welsh Quarries Ltd is to give the Architect, Landscape Designer, Contractor or the Self Builder what they are looking for in natural slate and stone products. Having grown up  in and around the Snowdonia moutain range and with our knowledge and experience in the Welsh Slate Industry, we have a passion for natural slate and stone.

As well as manufacturing the finest Quality Welsh Slate products at our own workshops at the Llechwedd Welsh Slate Quarry, We also work closely with local stone masons and natural stone manufacturers  to offer you the very best Quality and workmanship using all types of natural stone.

As well as locally sourced slate and stone from North Wales, we also supply a range of the finest quality materials from all over Britain and Abroad.

North wales Slate and Stone Ltd and Northern Welsh Quarries Ltd also offer services such as specialised boulder blasting, site clearance (with waste transfer licence) and preparation as well as a supply and fix service on all our products.
