ECOBLOKS ® is an entrepreneurial initiative born from the opportunity to fill a need of the wood packaging sector: the lack of an Italian manufacturer of blocks for pallets and, more generally, for all wooden packaging. The plant, located in Finale Emilia in the Province of Modena, is the result of the most advanced technology in this sector, both in terms of production techniques and in terms of environmental emissions purification techniques.

The goal of our business is the quality of the product obtained through manufacturing processes and procurement of raw materials (100% wood waste) that make our production sustainable.

Even the thermal energy, necessary for the operation of the plant, is produced with renewable sources (virgin wood) and not with fossil sources (methane gas, oil, etc.).

Recycling

In the past, the wood was processed and used for multiple uses, but, once transformed into waste, the wood was burned or sorted in landfills.

Ecobloks was born in 2014, with the aim of exploiting cutting-edge technologies that would allow us to face today's most important challenge: reuse.

The recycling and reuse of materials and waste is now a fundamentally important issue, for our present but above all for our future.

Ecobloks decided not to cut trees obtained from deforestation, but to have a production process that could have its beginning from the end of another.

The incoming wood is made up of waste and wood waste which, thanks to the latest technologies available to the company, is cleaned, dried and processed to form the block for pallets.

Similarly, the thermal power plant that produces the steam and heat necessary for the operation of the plant is powered by biomass, excluding the use of any fossil fuel.

What is set in motion is therefore a virtuous circle which, on the one hand, reuses more than 20,000 tons of biomass composed of bark waste resulting from wood processing, on the other hand collects over 150,000 tons of wood waste placed on the market and uses it as a raw material.
